In this certificate program, you’ll examine the many benefits of mindfulness for both your personal and professional life. You’ll also lay the foundation for a career in health and wellness coaching. Learn to describe mindfulness meditation, including the health benefits of mindfulness meditation, mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR), and the techniques and practices for mindfulness meditation.
MINDFULNESS AND HAPPINESS
Mindful happiness is not found in external things but within ourselves. Learn the multiple health benefits of practicing mindful happiness, explain how happiness is measured, and provide suggestions for engaging in activities that increase health and happiness.
Mindful eating is eating with intention and attention and encompasses the entire process of eating and is a healthy and pleasurable activity for satisfying hunger. Learn the concept of mindful eating and its importance in health.
Walking, Yoga, Tai Chi, and Qigong: Mindful movement is an effective way to reduce stress but there are many other health benefits, including increased mental and physical well-being. The outcome of this course is for the learner to describe the mental and physical health benefits of specific types of mindful movement, including walking, yoga, tai chi, and qigong.
Mindful relationships involve being present and paying attention to our relationships with ourselves and within ourselves. The outcome of this course is for the learner to describe characteristics of mindful relationships and how to develop more mindful relationships.
Prerequisites / Requirements
There are no prerequisites to take this course.

WHEN CAN I GET STARTED?
A new session of each course opens each month, allowing you to enroll whenever your busy schedule permits!
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Once a session starts, two lessons will be released each week, for the six-week duration of your course. You will have access to all previously released lessons until the course ends.
HOW LONG DO I HAVE TO COMPLETE EACH LESSON?
The interactive discussion area for each lesson automatically closes 2 weeks after each lesson is released, so you’re encouraged to complete each lesson within two weeks of its release.
WHAT IF I NEED AN EXTENSION?
The Final Exam will be released on the same day as the last lesson. Once the Final Exam has been released, you will have 2 weeks plus 10 days to complete the Final and finish any remaining lessons in your course. No further extensions can be provided beyond these 10 days.
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY CERTIFICATE?
You must complete all lessons to receive your certificate. You must pass the final exam in all lessons with a score of 80% or higher AND complete the Evaluation Form in order to receive your Certificate of Completion. Finals are graded as Pass or No Pass. Receipt of your certificate indicates successful completion of the course and that you have passed all final exams with a score of 80% or greater. You may retake final exams as many times as necessary within the duration of the course at no additional charge.
WILL I BE AWARDED CONTINUE EDUCATION HOURS FOR THIS COURSE?
Yes, ALLEGRA Learning Solutions courses are acceptable for CE contact hours in all states, however all healthcare providers are responsible for checking the “Accreditation” list to determine if this course awards contact hours for their profession.
